Blues-Rock Concert @ Dala's Nest - $15 donation (Menlo Park)
Roem Baur's music is hard to classify: he defines his style as "blues rock with a classical melodic sense". From church choirs to main stage at SuperBowl 50, SXSW, NBC's The Voice (Blake Shelton) and other institutions, Baur's body of music features throbbing heartfelt emotion whether the topic is insight into insomnia or anathematizing consumerism. Originally from Texas and raised in California's central valley, Roem has all the energy of an optimist despite occasional ire and irony in his lyrics. His influences include Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Cheap Trick, Roy Orbison, Bonny Raitt, Fleetwood Mac, and Freddy Mercury (Queen) as well as the punctilious classical music his mother played throughout his childhood. It's no wonder his portfolio of original, engaging, tunes supports a full-time musical career playing major club venues and special events across the country. Do come hear ROEM close to HOME! Have a listen at http://roembaur.bandcamp.com or at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUTxZTHihig Gate opens at 3:30 for check-in and seat selection. Suggested donation $15/seat.
