HEARING LOSS? HLAA - Peninsula (Redwood City)
If you want more information about your hearing loss --.or not even sure you have a hearing loss -- you can contact a non-profit group of volunteers in the Peninsula Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America, HLAA. There are many resources available for you, including information on Assistive Hearing Devices. The volunteers can answer many of your questions.
The meetings are free and open to the public on the first Monday of the month at Veterans Memorial Senior Center, 1455 Madison Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94061 from 1 to 3 pm.
The next few meetings are:
January 8 - Senior Citizen Safety: ID Fraud, Internet Safety, Medical Concerns for Police and Fire When Responding to a Residence, and More - by Sergeant/Supervisor Dan Smith of the Redwood City Police Department
Monday, Feb 5 - Hearing Dogs-What They Do, How They Do It and Stories of how These Dogs Have Made a Difference in People's Lives, by Glenn Martyn
Monday, Mar 5 - Hear About Other People's Hearing Loss Experiences, a discussion led by President Bob Hall.
